“The Founding Fathers of the United States were Protestants and deists, but the father of California was a Franciscan priest from Mallorca. To this day St. Junipero Serra’s fingerprints are all over the Golden State. Interstate 5 is essentially El Camino Real. San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, San Diego, and more are towns that were born of Catholic missions. Our state capitol is named after a river that was named for the Blessed Sacrament! Yet today, Californians, including many Catholics, are spiritually blind to their patrimony. May all the saints whose names yet grace so much of California—from her Missions to her mountains--intercede with Our Lady of Guadalupe, to restore Christianity to California. She did it among the devil-worshipping Aztecs. She can do it here!

.
Blessings in the Year of St. Joseph!
I was so excited to be participating in Consecration of California.
In these very difficult times, we need a message of hope, and all families, marriages, men, women, children, bishops, priests, and nuns need to go to St. Joseph and Mary!

God bless you all!

Dear Angelo, It was wonderful meeting you a few weeks ago as we were praying together for the '40 Days for Life' campaign here in the San Fernando Valley. Your support and your presence were deeply appreciated by me, personally, and by all of the 'prayer warriors' taking our defense of life to the streets of our cities. We are making a difference and we saved some children!
I would like this short note to be, in turn, a sign of support for you and everyone who is putting together the 'Consecrate California to Mary' event coming up soon on December the 8th. What a perfect day, too, to lift up our State to the Blessed Mother! You have certainly lined up some inspirational and very solid speakers.
I was very heartened by the fact that you have the support and the participation of Guadalupe Radio and Relevant Radio for this marvelous event. Like you, Angelo, I am hoping that this event might also get picked up' by EWTN and any other Catholic programmer or news service. Our State is in such need of spiritual renewal and bold proclamation of the truth that any means of sharing this event could go a long way toward that end. This event has my full support and I pray every blessing upon it and upon you.
Keep up the good work, young man, and I will try to do the same.
In Christ,
Most Reverend Joseph V. Brennan, D.D, v.G.

... Thank you very much for the invitation. This looks like a wonderful opportunity to bring the community together for prayer. I am celebrating the Mass of Ordination to the Diaconate for one of our students at St. John's at 10:00 am on the 8th up at St. John's Seminary in Camarillo and think it would be a bit of a tight call for me to make it down to San Pedro by 2:00. I think it would be better for the local pastor to lead the procession and Rosary and Consecration. I can try to make it down there by the end of the prayer but, as I said, it would be predicated by the length of the diaconate Mass and traffic. If the Mass was not in Camarillo, I would have taken part.
Thank you for your leadership in this. It is a wonderful way to celebrate the feast.
Blessings on your ministry,
Bishop Marc
